Clear Creek WMA this weekend
 

Who else is going? We will be camping at the Spillway RV park thur pm, fri, sat with a sun departure. Packing all my crap today -- forgot how much stuff one needs to bring to go deer hunting for a couple days. I am spoiled to my ranch in the Hill Country of Texas.

I'll be in Red River WMA this weekend. I'll be at Cleer Creek the following weekend for the primitive weapon hunt.

I went to Sherburne Friday and did not see anything in the woods. There was not much shooting either.

I am thinking of going up to CC tomorrow.

had a great weekend at CC WMA although my party did not kill. My son missed one doe at around 200 yards friday pm in the drizzle and fog. guy camping next to me killed one doe and missed 2 others. found blood on 2nd one but tracked forever and never found more blood or deer. one guy I know killed 3 and I saw a guy with a nice 8 pt in the public campground and another guy had 2 hanging. Overall heard a lot of shots friday morning, less friday pm and a good amount sat am. sat pm not as many shots. got to one of my spots friday pm and someone was already on it. went to my 2nd spot and someone there too. 3rd spot was where my son missed. guy on my first spot killed a doe. he came out near my hunting partner dragging it.

lots of action and heard of a lot of deer seen but not able to get shots.

We went to Jackson bienville last weekend. Ended up with two does, 7 pt, 8 pt a 5 pt and three hogs. Had a blast.
