Sabine lake: smashin da trout

Went fish sabine on a solo trip because ive never fished there before. Been hearing and seein great reports from local guides and i decided to go see what the fuss is about. Went wading a pocket at the end of lake and slammed fish on topwater n soft plastic jerkbaits like no tomorrow!! Insane action. I dont see why more people dont fish there it must be a well kept secret. I saw maybe 4 boats the entire morning!! Great fishery and i will be back with s few others in tow!!! Attachment 42031 |

I swear it was stupid!!! I coulda csught 1000 trout. Released s few rat reds but omg trout on almost every throw. Ridiculous. I gotta be back in lafayette fr a appointment but dude i woulda slung fish all day. First trip!! WAit til i bring my boat
