Mississippi Marsh

6 Attachment(s)
Spent a couple days fishing the Marsh around the Mississippi area from Bay St Louis to Biloxi.
Fished mostly the Bay St. Louis marsh between Hwy 90 and I-10 in the yak. Lots of places to fish and easy access to marsh areas with very clear water and sandy bottoms. Caught redfish in all spots I caught a lot of small trout, In Mississippi it's 13" trout and 18" redfish. Caught some stripped bass around cement pilings. Went there with no clue where to go, just dropped the yak in where it looked good and gave it a shot. Worth cking out if your in the area. 3 day fishing license $15 fresh and $15 salt.

That bridge looks familiar, is the one on the East side of BSL to the north of HWY 90 by that cement piling plant?

Looks like he launched around Wolf River on the North East side

Thats a really nice area either way. My neighbor has a camp off of BSl and we go boat riding through there often.

The pilings were east of Biloxi near Ocean Springs north of 90. Not exactly sure what its called but theres a boat launch and bait shop.

Im from ocean springs. Was it the pilings by the hwy 90 bridge? Fishing behind the Hard rock is pretty good. The rocks are good for flounders me and my dad used to two man limit all the time. Also by the parking garage.let me know next trip and ill try to point you in the right direction.

Just looked at the picture again. Looks like you were under the Fort bayou bridge. Theres actually two bait shops there. One before the bridge and one after. Ive never had good luck there but under the bridge where it starts going down on the north side towards St. Martin is good for redfish.at certain times of the year.
