Finished Rechamber project
5 Attachment(s)
Have had a project on my mind since Jan this year, Don't like the Idea of my bride shooting the .45/70 or .35 Whelen out of a stand during primative weapon season for recoil reasons:shaking: So I rechambered a .357mag handi rifle by hand to a .35 Remington:rolleyes: Ordered the reamer, go & no go gauges after a couple days of reaming & polishing the chamber, replacing the extractor it's done! Gun had black synthetic stock & forearm which I replaced with wood in youth model, Leupold rings & Burris 3X9X40 on top. Enjoyed this project!
For comparison .45/70 approx 24 ft lbs of recoil with 300 grain bullet .35 Whelen approx 22 ft lbs of recoil with 200 grain bullet .35 Remington approx 13 ft lbs of recoil with 200 grainer + it's a 200 yd gun:D |
Nice work dude!

Finished up the second one (mine) ;)
Gotta shoot it sometime this weekend. Added the camo stocks & has a Nikon 3X9X40 on top. This one went a little quicker than the 1st one, learned a few tricks :) |
