Shell Beach Getaway

2 Attachment(s)
Got invited to a camp down in Shell Beach for the weekend. Had a jam up camp to stay in with a 24' Ranger bay boat with a 300 Evinrude E-tec to fish out of. Friday ran out to Hopedale Hustler's spot and picked up 11 reds and 6 specks. Saturday ran out to Lake Bourne and fished around a rig for a little while with about 20 mph winds. Picked up 3 specks out there before giving up and heading back to HH's spot. Fished till 1 pm so we could make it back for the game. Came back with 6 reds and 5 specks. Fished this morning in Stump Lagoon with about a 25 mph sustained wind until it started raining on us at about 9:30. Finished the weekend with 4 reds. Released about 10 reds over the weekend that were bigger than 20". I am tired of cleaning the big ones and I am trying to be some what conservation oriented. Had lots of crown to drink to make the weekend awesome :smokin:

Nice mess of fish....Nice camp, nice boat, plenty of Crown, LSU football and hopefully some good grub...

Sounds like paradise to me...:D

We had shrimp creole on Friday, fried fish on Saturday for the game yesterday, and had cinnamon rolls for both Saturday and Sunday for breakfast. So yes, I would agree is was paradise.
