Plenty of big ducks in the marsh

Had a pretty good hunt on the teal Saturday morning. Saw a number of flocks of big ducks. The highlight of the morning was a pair of widgeon pitching into the dekes. Thats right, widgeon. The cool thing was I could identify the male already. We also saw pintail, greys, whistlers, and Mottled ducks. The largely chastized shoveler was vacant on Saturday.

I wonder if the migration is on a little early this year.

The area I am talking about is just east of Mud Lake. Anyone else out there notice a large amount of big ducks.

We saw lots of big ducks in Oak Grove. Don't know if it was above normal amounts though cause it was our first time hunting there

Thats good news. Did you lease that place in Welsh again around Keystone road? That area is absolutely covered in teal.

Yes, but didn't hunt it on Saturday. Our guys said they had a 4 man limit in about 30 minutes. Said it was really good.
