Question about an over and under

This may be a stupid question, but my dad asked me and i've never been asked this. He bought a new over and under today and it says 3 inch chamber on it. His question was if he can still shoot 2 3/4 inch shells out of it? I told him i didn't think it would matter, cause the diameter of the shell is the same. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, dgg

Your dad got the Yildiz from Academy. I am interested to know if that gun has ejectors? Meaning, when you crack it open will the empty shells fly out.

I like the gun. Since it has ejectors I will likely get me one.

If you are going to shoot steel out of it, wear extra clothes.

I got a yildiz from academy a few years ago. It's a great gun for the money

x2, my dad has had one for about 4 years now, fun gun to shoot. It's no 1000+ dollar over/under, but it's a great gun for the money.

DUCKGOGETTER 09-07-2012 01:57 PM

Right now it's $399 and tax free.

My dad picked up a 20ga Yildiz at Academy this morning, its a really sweet gun

Bluechip 09-13-2012 08:17 PM

You are good to go. No different than shooting 2 3/4" or 3" in a 3 1/2" chamber.
