Has anyone done any scouting on sabine island yet this year?

I was goin this coming week but the mosquitoes are so bad I ain't gonna go yet, guess I will try in a few more weeks unless someone knows the skeeters ain't to bad

Used to love hunting that place. Seen many deer there.

I seen the game wardens walking around out there so they cant be that bad!

They gettin paid though:rolleyes:, them little bitty Karen skeeters been thick and they hurt not to mention they got the gift of death:shaking: no thanks not me...... I want to be able to hunt this yr:D

Im afraid that all of the hogs may have ran the deer off.

I sure hope your thinking wrong but I have 400acres between sulphur and dequincy that I have watched this happen to so I know its possible

Weed , go to the camping section of academy and get you the little bottles of OFF It's 98 percent Deet. The bottles fit in your pocket easily. If you sweat it off , spray some more . It works.

Or Wal Mart camping section.... I just do not like going in the place myself

The best deal I have seen for 100 % Deet is the 4 oz bottle for about $ 8.

Just like last season hogs everywhere with minimal deer sign, maybe worse.Go check your best feed tree and I bet u can't make it in there without stepping in hog s##t

I may just make a quick morning scout Thursday and see what I can
