FAILED at fishing

Arrive at 7 and fished til 11 First day fishing in 3 years and Nothing, the only thing that was biting was hard head catfish! Fished on the jetty at Cameron with soft bait, dod shrimp, and no luck then switched over to dead shrimp.
Then drove to Rockefeller/ Price Lake rd the crab where out and shrimp were out also but did not have any net or cast net to catch either or.

Is they any fish in Price Lake Rd?

Any time you're fishing it's a success, not a fail.

I never fished off price lake rd, just crab and shrimp which are running pretty good know, you can catch a few specks and reds off the bank at Joesphs' harbor if the water looks ok.

I've never caught a fish off price lake, caught one trout and allot of trash fish at Joseph harbor. You'd have much better odds of catching at mermentau IMO.

Is it okay to bank fish off of Joseph Harbor even if its close? Looking at googlemap I cannot find Mermentau?

10 miles past Rockefeller on the right after the bridge.

When you leave Cameron and get to Grand Chenier, The Mermentau runs under the draw bridge.

Fish under the draw bridge. On the North West side is the best place to fish the bank. They have a lot of shells on the bottom.

Around here? The google street view had an older fella walking across the bridge with a nice red in hand.

Probably dead shrimp on the bottom if you don't get hung up too bad. If the bottom is too dirty, you can try under a cork. Or you can try gulp, spinnerbaits, rattletraps etc.

If you are not catching much at the Mermentau river bridge, try following the road on the northwest side farther north (NE) and there is another open spot along the river a little ways up the river.

Bring a chair, umbrella and cold drinks......enjoy the day.
