Heading to Grand Isle Monday..
 
Any suggestions on where/how to fish? Never been fishing there...

You bringing boat? Rocks in front of state park always good.Backside alot of reefs and islands such as queen bess ect.

Yep, gonna bring the boat..don't know squat about the area and hoping to get some input. I know to fish with live shrimp, lol..that's about it. Tried to find some gps coordinates for close in reefs, etc.
No plans to take the 22 footer any distance from the island, this is a first for me and I want to be comfortable..if I can't recognize who's standing on the beach I'm too far, lol...

I would hit Vermilion Bay instead.
 
specks have been scattered lately. Water has been questionable last few days. Look for good water. I flew over Fourchon beach this morning and water looked terrible, just like it was when I fished it Monday afternoon. Water didn't look good til a couple of miles out today. Mangroves a good possibility at close in rigs. I would check water to the east.
