Hit Prien Lake with a buddy and caught a few on Swim Shad. All were caught right up against the grass. Broke a new rod on the bigger one. Cheap rod.....

my dad has has one for about three years now and no problems but my buddy bought one and went to flip like a 2lb bass in and it broke. alot of people like them but theres alot of people claiming they break easy

saute86 07-24-2012 09:19 AM

I bought an ultra light one from wally world. It was $3 off the clearence rack. It broke on the first sac au lait. Went the next day to return it and broke 2 more testing them till I found a good one. I landed a huge choux pique with it. I still wont buy another one.

Lightning rods are pretty good rods.

ACADEMYPROSTAFFER19 07-30-2012 07:57 AM

CherryWood rods are only 19.99 for a reason. You get what you pay for with most fishing equipment. Like mentioned above.......drop 10-20 more and get a lightning if you are on a budget.
