Headed out to the point with my wife and managed a few before the heat sent us packing. The sand trout were biting just about every cast around Dry Reef...we just could not land all of them. Managed a few and my wife was able to land a Red. The pic with the ray is to show the water color...not too bad just took a while to figure things out today. All were caught with gulp or shrimp on the bottom. Some drifting and others just sitting it on the bottom.

Thanks for the report, mind sharing where at Dry Reef? Small wellheads to West or Main platform? I'll take some white trout for sure, they eat good too!

Good to see a report coming from Dry Reef! Thanks! Promising to see sands out there..should be specks around also. Haven't made it out that far yet in the Bay but maybe if the weather gods allow I might try it Friday morn.

I have a small boat so Closer to the camps...that may not even be dry reef yet. Drifted alot but anywhere from 100-1000yds off the camps(estimate). Good luck, we had lots of bites but only a few strikes that took our bait so we could get a good hook set. Maybe try lighter tackle and hope a ray or anything else big does not hit it. Hope this helps

Kinda sounds more like Blue Point/Cove area than Dry Reef. Thanks for the info!
