Black Lake Limit
 

Sent some friends of mine out to black lake today.. This was only their 3rd trip to the lake and not too experienced with navgatin on the main lake, , so with the wind how it is, I sent them to black lake where they were able to box their 30 trout. They got to cal point early and got em some shrimp, and also threw sand eel jrs. Also caught 4 flounder.. not bad for their 3rd trip.

Not bad alll. North or south end of black lake?

do you get in there from the saltwater ditch?

I know someone who also limited there today and yesterday...place must be thick....just hate going that far

Black Lake is easy to get to....Take the Salt ditch down until you get to a big cut on your right...then follow it into the lake....fish the south bank...North Bank .... South West corner and all the structure ...its a easy place to fish

thanks, the one time I went back in there, it ended up with us getting out and pushin. That's why I love this site, and that's how I use it. It saves me days like that.

Lol...i got an undetected place NOBODY NOT EVEN W knows of this place....had a buddy go today and landed a 5.5 and 6.8.....we shall see

Dont be fooled into thinking you can just run down the Salt Ditch and just turn right into Blake Lake .Be careful there are some shallow spots you can get fouled on and ruin your day. I would recommend not trying it in the dark if you are not sure about where to go . Thats just my 2 cents .

True....goes from 5'-2" in a split second....be careful....
