Great Day with Great People

I had the privilege today of fishing an awesome Sponser and an even better friend Sarge Upchurch of Laguna Rods and the MAN, the Myth, and The legend Mr. Raymond Little, President of Lake Charles CCA. We set out this morning after a few minor details were taken care of, like me getting into dry cloths, and yes I had rain gear on, but I was not wet from the storms that passed through. But we will save that story for later. Anyway we set out in search of the biggest and nastiest girls we could find that would bite our topwater baits. The bite was a little slower than what it had been, but we did manage to boat a few trout right at the 5 lb mark and a few more that hit the 4 lb mark. Didn't have anything bigger than to show for our efforts, but did loose a couple that may have been the big girls we went to find. We did catch a a few redfish that would get your blood pumping as they came up and absolutely slammed our topwater plugs.
One last thing for those of you out there with an IPhone I would like to recommend the Lifeproof (waterproof) cover for your phone. Why you ask, because they work as you can see in the pictures. Yes that is me first thing this morning. Oh and FYI frog togs work as long as you stay out of the water.

Well, I did not get in a big hurry to get down there because he did not make alot of noise going in. Thank God he missed the I beams and wood or it could have ended up with a trip to the Grand Lake Emergency Klinic. Was able to throw Chris a couple of popping corks for floatation until I could drop the lift for him to climb up on and hoist out. Chris will be coming out with his own line of fishing clothes later this summer; The ShamWow line of shorts and shirts will allow anyone to fall in and be dry in mere minutes, they will also double as a bath mat in emergency situations.
Colors will include; Fushia, Hot Lime Green, Tiger Stripe, and Zebra for those adventurous anglers.

Chris now has agreed for his protection to wear a May West life jacket and protective helmut within 100 yards of any boat ramp or lift. Don't be embarresed to seek him out when you see him. Remember, Safety is no Accident.:D
