Carencro Police Department conducting an ongoing drug operation where over $27,000 in illegal narcotics was seized.

Officers conducted a search warrant at 220 Wilda Street in Carencro. During the search, officers say they seized nearly half a kilo of cocaine as well as additional crack cocaine and marijuana. Two guns were also confiscated along with a large sum of cash.

Police say the home that was searched was located about two blocks from a local elementary school.

Joseph Francis, 43 years old, of Carencro, was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center with no bond.

Francis was charged with: Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine over 200 grams, Possession with intent to distribute Crack Cocaine, Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana, Possession of a firearm in the presence of narcotics, Felon in possession of a firearm, Possession with intent to distribute narcotics within a school zone, Monies derived from drug proceeds.

I don't see the problem here. I'd bet this investigation is an ongoing one so that they could make sure the charges stuck.

Australia took away gun owners rights. At least here, for now, we can shoot a drugie that breaks into our house!

Now hopefully they keep that scumbag off the streets
