Chalmette
alright, im in chalmette and gonna have some time after work but until the time changes im just gonna bring my kayak instead of my boat.....what is some good areas for my yak to do some fishing in the evenings. guy i work with goes to the canal just to the north of murphy oil where i work. but i would like some saltwater. any suggestions

Bayou bienvenue launch next the the bridge at the casino and yak under the bridge and fish it hard...or go about 15
minutes further to BSM or pips and launch and fish |

Yep that's it. You can also turn just past the bridge by marina motel and launch in what they call da pen. There is a bunch of marsh behind da pen and it would only be a few minutes of paddling.

Ya da pen would be better for a yak prolly but I know there was a decent bite on the other side of the bridge not long ago...man I wish I had time to be down there right now...it's bout to get real out of BSM come april

Look on google maps. Pips landing is listed along with the canal which feeds into Hopedale lagoon
