Sabine/Neches 1-29

Hit the lake this morning and fished the northeast shoreline and a few spots on the LA bank. No fish Period! Decided to run back to the neches and fished a couple of marsh drains. Caught a ton of undersized flounder, but managed only 5 keeper flatties and a barely legal speck that must have been lost. Had fun catching the babies though. IMO they are harder to hook that the biguns.

I have not been having a lot of luck lately on the Neches. The Bessie drains or GSU canal. On the north end all my action has been on the Sabine side near coffe ground and east pass. I had some action before the last big rain in cow bayou as well but I'm not sure the saltwater has moved back in yet. I would still fish the south end of the lake.

Nice report.....and it's all good to come home with a mess of flatties.
