Big Lake Pancake 12-18
1 Attachment(s)
Learning to fish with my lil man. Headed to Big Lake for the first time yesterday. Launched at Cal Point, forgot the plug! Thankfully i remembered before leaving the dock. Run to get the truck, re-load, drain, plug, re-launch. Love living in la, thanks to several guys that helped me launch and re-launch nothing like a fellow cajun to lend you a hand.
Headed to Turner's and floated around looking for fish. Caught one clump of oysters and one brown pancake. This is 1 more fish than we usually catch so that's a good day. Caught on H&H white swimbait w chartreuse tail. He enjoyed seeing all the Pelicans at the launch |
That's what it's all about. Word of advice---- read the reports before going. Most have awesome information that can lead you to some fish

Nice flounder!

You did better than I did. I hope my boat is fixed this week. We can make a run if your still interested. Nice job and thanks for the report. I don't think many people were catching sun.

No problem. We all know how tough it can be by ourselves. That was my uncle who backed your truck up for you and that was me that you had talked to for a second in the boat. |
