Starting over!

Went to my stall Wednesday ready for a day on the water and all my tackle was stolen from my boat. I have my personal favorites but just curious to hear some suggestions on some of yalls go to baits as I begin a new selection. Just going with a few topwaters and some plastics to get back going.

SaltyShaw 11-24-2011 07:56 PM

1) Reaction Strike Soft Plastics
-Jerk Jr.
-Mullet Jr.
-Diet Mullet
2) 1/8oz and 1/4oz YellowMouth Jig Heads
3) Tidal Surge Maniac Mullet
3) Skitterwalks
4) Super Spooks

Ray 11-24-2011 08:05 PM

I normally use Spook Jr's. for topwater, but bought a TTF Gun Dog Jr. Works about the same and Skitterwalks. Chrome, Clown, Black and Bone.
I use Jerk Jr's, Norton Sand Eel Jr's, TTF Trout Killer II's and Bomber Jerk Minnows.
I like glow, opening night and purple colors.
It's also hard to beat Glow Salty Grubs and Gold Sparkle Beetles with red dot.
I use TKO Shrimp under a popping or clacking cork, Blue Moon colored.
Jerk baits, I like Bombers, Yozuri and Livingston Lures.
I was given a bunch of Bomber suspending lures. Gonna try them when water temps get colder. I have a couple of Catch Jr.s in black and bone too.

Simple

100 Glow sparkle beetles
100 Sand Eel Jrs

Chicken on Chain
Margarita
LSU
Black Magic
Bigger trout
Tidle Surge Split tail mullets
Jerk JRs

Topwater
Skitterwalks (white , Black , Black/Chrt)
TTF GunDogs or Spooks
White, Black ,Black/Chrt)

Catch 2000
Black, Bone, Mullet Green
Bomber ss

1/4oz , 1/8oz, 3/4oz Jig Heads

none of it worth being shot over but come on, they left the expensive stuff

Ray 11-24-2011 10:02 PM

I lost 3 nets in 2 months. 4 in 1 year.
I like them light weight nets, but keep forgetting them on the back deck.
The don't stay on deck long when running.

"W" 11-24-2011 10:07 PM

Ray I have not bought a net this year but lost every one of my buddies and some twice.....I beat I lost 9 this year..... Lol that Haynie is hard to keep a net in...

Glad to hear I'm not only one. This year I've lost live well, ice chest, motor bracket and few other things that flew off boat on the water or running down the highway.

fill the handle with spray foam so it will float if it flies out.

SaltyShaw 11-24-2011 10:12 PM

For all you losing nets this thing is amazing, I lost one net bought one of these and havent lost this net yet.

I bought a big float for my last net, but forgot to hook it on.
Gonna do what Jude said and try to fill with foam spray and a float.

yours would have to fly out the boat on its way back to Jerrys:work:

Ray 11-24-2011 10:20 PM

I never heard it fly out. It was laying behind me.
Don't know where to start looking.
Just needta start putting it in the rod holder,
where it supposed to be.

jchief 11-24-2011 10:21 PM

Mine left in 20 ish feet of water at Toledo. I got it back.

Ray 11-24-2011 10:22 PM

Most of the time, I was running in the channel.
One time in Turners. But if you're on plane and
not looking back, you don't know where it flew
out.
