There is one between Heberts and Calcasieu Point. Big Lake RV Park, East side of Lake.
Another at A-1 Motel in Carlyss and another by the Choupique Bridge. Both on the West side.
There is also one in Cameron, at the jettys, next to the public launch. On the East side of the channel.

What brand camper did you get?

jchief 11-23-2011 07:54 AM

Ellender Bridge. Calcasieu parish owns it.

Backlash, i got a 86' six-pac, cabover.needed some work. had a few leaks and water damage, but looks pretty good now and is dry. all appliances work, gas and elec. i had to build side rails because i put it on my flatbed dually, but by doing that i created storage areas on the sides that are just right for rods, so it worked out real good. whole package is about 3,000 lb. had to build a reciever hitch extention so i can tow the boat. still tweaking it, but i'm ready for a trial run. thanks everyone for the info.

Yep, and they have a seperate bathroom and shower facility also. May be perfect when camping out of a cab over....;)

Sounds like a good setup. Those are good campers from what I have read. I have a Lance.
