Took a guy i work with, a texan, to show him soo looziana wing shootin. Action was slow with a lot of pass shootin, but we did manage to do our part in the spoonbill reduction mission killing 8. Also killed teal, a grey and a penny hen. Heres the daylight pic of the cleaning table my dad built as well.

serious???

Always went by the orange skin rule. If the breast is orange it is usually going to be a little fishy tasting. Most of the ones we shot were nice and white though.

As Shawn or someone said. "Breast em and wrap it in bacon. A turd taste good wrapped in bacon"

Though how they would know abou the turd is beyond me.

Kenner18 11-19-2011 03:10 PM

Dont know if they good to eat ...I dont eat any of them stinkin lil critters.

Not me ..very seldom I will eat the breast wrapped in bacon . Them suckers stink so bad when you clean em ,I dont want to eat them anymore.

I rather clean trout than them darn ducks anyday!

Montauk17 11-19-2011 03:16 PM

Why kill something your not going to eat? Might be opening up a can of worms but that is how I was raised.

DUCKGOGETTER 11-19-2011 03:18 PM

Ain't nothing wrong with a spoonbill
