Another slow day in Sweetlake

Me and BigChaf had another slow day. Ended with 1 young speck and 1 red head. Birds that do pass by still dont want to work. Hope it gets better soon. If we had water we would be slaying the ducks! Flights of ducks in the area all day, with occasional shots on the pass for low birds. I guess today was an improvement since we scratched 2 days last weekend.

That redhead was lost for sure, but a bad day in the blind is better than a good day at work. At least ya'll didn't scratch.

Yeah i had to get my phone out to confirm identification. Never seen one killed in that blind. Had about 10 come by real low real early, shot on the pass.

When i hunted in pine island we were the only field with no water just plowed dirt, but all the other fields around us were flooded. We would kill a few ducks early every morning we hunted just pass shooting.

if there's water around ya'll and a good flight pattern you should be able to kill some. Try putting a robo duck out for the first 20 minutes of shooting time then pick it up when the geese start.

That's the only time the geese fly is the first 20 minutes

Sitting in the blind in Klondike now. Fog has them on the ground and the ones that are moving are real spooky
