What would you do
 

Ok guys and girls this guy gave me a 1971 Harley Davidson motorcycle about six years ago. The motor and other parts all came in a 55 galloon barrel and it also needed a crank pin. I have had plans from day one on fixing this bike and riding it one day before I die. But this guy calls me the other day and wants me to give it back to him would you give it back or tell him to just go get screwed. Just wondering what some of you would do.

Get screwed or cough up some $$

imo if you havent done anything to it and its just been sitting there for 6 years you should give it back. if he is a close friend which he kinda has to be to give you something like that in the first place should be no problem giving it back. maybe its better to give the project to someone else to get the bike back on the road.

For once I agree with Flounder Wacker

If he is a good friend , give it back. If not charge him storage fees plus any $$ you have spent.

If it is not titled yet, give it back.
If it is, get him to pay you for what you have in it, plus title fees and give it back.

Your obviously not gonna work on it. Give it back so it can get on the road

is it a ironhead or shovelhead?

Think 71 is a shovel head..........

Shovelhead was made from 66-84
Ironhead was the sportster model made from 57-85

Both had "shovel" style rockerboxes.

Shovel was a 74 cu in 1200cc

Ironhead was Made in 883cc or 1000cc
