Sabine 10/15 & 10/16

Ran out to Sabine River this weekend and it was on! Started south both days and put it on the slime bullets early.. tossed a glo jerk jr. and doa shrimp and they ate it up. i had about 20 nice keeper-size trout and several small trout each day down there till the tide slacked.
then ran up north and hit the bass. they were chompin too! started with a zoom watermelon magic speed craw on an 1/8oz. tx. rig and caught several nice bass. i saw a couple shimp pop the top, so i picked up that d.o.a. and it was on! they were on that shrimp! i cut several of the bass i kept and checked their gullets... every last one was chock a block full of shrimp. limited easy both days on trout and bass, but only kept the limits of bass as i don't care for trout. totals for both days combined was somewhere around 60 bass and about 60 trout. conditions were almost perfect and i had a total blast! doesn't get much better! |
