So what's your take on fishing a full moon?

Is it worth it to get on the water by sunup during a full moon?

I've suspected that fish feed through the night during the full moon, so the bite isn't likely to be good until afternoon. I've gone early and I've gone late, but usually without much luck. Tides look like they will be falling all morning so maybe we should be fishing by 630-7.

One of my best days ever was a full moon in October years ago on Big Lake when the limit was 25 specks. I started at noon fished birds all afternoon at the south end of the lake and never saw another boat within a mile.

Fish always feed the best when the moon is overhead and underfoot.
