just got an awesome deal on a falcon 6'6" medium action Coastal xg

lists for 119. didnt have a tag on it and it was the last one so i took it to the desk, they couldnt find the rod so they gave me the closest style's price

24.99

got to the register and the ticket scanned for 19.99


i think i made a pretty good deal

gonna try it out tomorrow, heading down to the twin spans to fish the tressels with a few guys in the yak

it is good that yak'em gets these great deals but then he calls me to ask about the rods only to brag about the deal he got. then to add insult to injury he says he bought the last one. i tell you good friends are hard to find

I bought some decoys at Academy a few years ago. They were in 4 packs. The price was supposed to be by the 4 pack. They charged me the 4 pack price for each dozen. I bought 10 doz. Carrylight weighted keel decoys. What a deal.
That is the good thing about big box store checkouts. The girls who work there have no idea what is going on.

That is so true, Ray. I was in Academy looking for a new fanny seat...pole, base...the whole nine yards. I just stuck it all together for easier carrying. The clerk rang up the first bar code she saw. Seems like it was $15 and change or something like that. I couldn't let her do it. :smokin::shaking:

A buddy had the sporting goods guy at WalMart to order some Bombers for him. When they came in, they were packeged 6 to a box. He had a total of 4 boxes. When they rang it up, they rang 4 x the bar code. 24 Bombers for about $20.

A buddy of mine went to Wal-Mart last fall and bougth a case of Black Clouds and she just rang up the bar code on the outside the box...case of shells...25 bucks.

My dad has had that happen as well as some of my friends...I brought up a case and the girl rings up the correct price...I don't have the luck...

I went shrimping today, and when I got to the dock there was a Falcon Lowrider 7ft med/heavy.. (excally what i fish with) laying right on the side of the dock with the tip broken.... Bout to go to academy and cash in that lifetime warranty on all Falcon Rods....
