Big Lake 9-17

Launched at Spicers this morning expecting a beautiful day on the lake. WRONG!, water was filthy. Salvaged the day back in the marsh with a limit of reds, and 3 18"-20" black drum. Yes! I kept them and they will be delicious on the pit. No pics fish in the ice chest, maybe later

Shoot I don't know where you went but it was beautiful and trout were biting, you got to play against the conditions, NE wind will cause the SW part of the lake to be nasty vise versa. Find a protected area you will find clean and calm water such as today an east bank is were you wanted to be or north end of the lake
Hope this helped

Figured east bank would be good, didn't feel like taking the chance of crossing the lake and possibly being disappointed with the conditions. Had my dad and son with me and they wanted reds, so I went to a place where I knew they would probably catch. Thanks for the advice though, I'm guessing you went southeast

Took wife to Rutherfords Beach this after noon for her to get some sun.
Water was pretty dirty, but not chocolate.
Walked out to second sand bar. About 80 yards out. Still dirty out there.

I only managed 2 reds today. Little boat + big waves = limited fishing. Maybe next time
