Teal Hunt 9-13
 

Hunted this morning and it was horrible. Barely saw 2 dozen birds in the air. Only killed 1. Bird was full of rice! ANyone had any luck?

The moom phase has the birds feeding at night. Maybe try a afternoon hunt if you can stand the mosquitos.

4 of us limited out in gc this morning, but had to hunt til 9:30

I'm gonna try PI Thursday or Friday. Went yesterday. Only got 2. Saturday was so bad, I didn't go Sunday. Buddies got 6.

I heard the PI area was slow. We hunt a 15 or so acre marsh pond south of hwy 335 and it has been slow. My buddy and his friend got 5 this morning. Most rice fields around us are not flooded. Going spec fishing thurs instead of hunting.

small cool front is supposed to move in thursday night Im waiting till friday to hunt again

Ill be out sat morning.....thinking of making an evening hunt this week just to see.....

Our blind in the rice field has limited out every day by 7am

We just sit on the levee during teal season...they so stupid....

Last year we had 14 on opening day...shooting time looked like a cloud of death falling..think it took us all of 7-8 mins to get all our teal

Yeh same for us LAST year. This year is worst first few days of teal season I have had in 10 years. Hopefully it gets better. If I don't do well Friday, I'm going fishing Saturday. :help:

Good deal. I guess it helps when you have people with you that can shoot, lol. I shot really bad Monday.

man you didn't shoot to bad we should've had our limit monday. Should've seen us yesterday morning had a group of about 25 come in and twelve shots not a feather. Now that was the only group that we shot bad at the rest were history. We gonna you work sunday or monday?

Working nights. Don't get off til 5 in the a.m.

okay we gonna try to set up another hunt before it closes. For sure big duck season. We had a pintail drake light in the decoys yesterday. Had a good time monday.
