It has been super hot and dry up there this year. Once it starts cooling off they will eat during the day. Got a few pics during the day but the sun was so bright on the camera it didnt show up. Yes does will take a dirt nap come opening day. I have other spots to kill does, gunna leave this spot alone.

Jackson parish, not far from Jackson Bienville WMA. Been hunting here for 14 years, always kill! Got tired of roughing it in the swamp and marsh.

Yeh got about 300 acres not far from there. My camp is just south of Woodville on hwy 61. Got a few hundred there as well. We have shot some nice deer over the years. Biggest I got is a 9 point bout 147". But I don't deer hunt like I used to. Got more into ducks when I was in high school. Still bow hunt alot though. Hope u stick one of em.

Yeh man we got some steep ones. We got one spot that it is literally 100+ foot drop off from the edge of ridge.

ScubaLatt 09-11-2011 12:57 PM

from the looks of those deer I'd say they are 2 maybe 3 years old. Should be ready to shoot in a couple of years. Let 'em grow!
