Grand Isle for Labor Day

Headed to the Bridgeside Marina for the redfish rodeo, but would also like to target the mangroves if they are still out there. We hit them well in July and would love to do it again. Also might try trout off Elmer's. Any info would be appreciated.

By the way, the big shrimp are at Rockyville. Limited out four days in a row. Just an FYI.

All I can say is the fishing sucked this weekend. Unless you like sand trout and ladyfish

Mangroves are out there. Best bite has been no weight, with cut pogy in a chum line. We do not tie to the rig. Toss chum, free line your bait, drift with chum say to 50 yards from rig or so, set hook, repeat. 50 ft rigs, no need to run further. Also, big migration of reds in surf right now. Go get 'em.
