Not my day for Trouts
 

Fished several spots along the channel on Speckdaddy's spot with soft plastics, no Trout.
Saw a buttload of Mullet along the edge of the channel, throwed a couple of taco's and caught about 20 Mullets.
Fished Carolina Style on Waltrips hole and caught a few big Reds, between 20 and 30 lbs., but no Trout. Also caught a couple Hardheads.
Switched back to soft plastics and fished the Jettys. Few more big Reds, no Trout.
Ran back up thru the lake, didn't see much, but fished the Finfish Reef. No Trout.
Hit the LNG Canal and picked up a bunch of small Sand Trout and 1 nice sized one. No Trout.
Today was not my Trout day.
But the water in the Jettys was clear clear clear with a slight green tint.
Tought about running to the rocks between JB and HB, but for some dumb reason, I changed my mind and ran back North.
Saw Salty Shaw at the launch this morning, waiting on his fishermen.

Ray you know your dad loves them reds....catch em and clean em some up...

They was too big. Fun, but I ain't cleaning them big nasty's.

Atleast you caught something Ray also it's better then work.

Ray I pulled in right next to Shaw this mornin too..looks like you an me had the same kinda day, we had a couple keeper trout and a real nice flounder, caught a few cats on the mullet and thats it..just couldnt get on'em today.

Ray dont feel bad . I had 1 trout and a flounder today .

A bad day on the water or in the blind is better than a good day at work.
