Refrigerator problem
Have a ge side by side that leaks water from the bottom. Anyone one had a similar problem and were you able to fix leaking?
|
I had this problem before but don't remember what I did. Something to do with the hose that drained to the bottom pan on the defrost cycle.
I googled my issue and found a lot of info on line. |
Had the same problem. It is the valve which control the water. If it is from Sears, get your model number and series number before going there. You can shut the water going to the frig and take the part off and bring it with you. NO big thing to fix, just be a good parts changer, like the auto mechanics are now a days.
BTW, don't need to take any cover off of frig, other than being able to get to the back of it. Once you get to the back you will see that valve. Just unplug and change |
Drain pipe was clogged up, hope it helps.

Glad you got that worked out!

Same problem I am having. I think mine is freezing up. I am going to defrost it today and see what happens. I will check drain pipe as well. Check behind your back panel and make sure you don't have an ice build up. |
