Now that's what i'm talking about

cajun bill 08-03-2011 04:38 PM

As promised, here is my report (such as it is). Launched from FWC at daylight, caught some "livey's" on the way and hit the gulf. Stopped at 31, water looked like coffee so we decided that Tee Butte would also be dirty. Headed south to 51, nuttinhoney but the water was quite a bit better, then 52, water beautiful, bluefish, mackerel and something really big that ended up dragging the line into the platform and breaking off. Hit the nearby bouy and according to the boats there, the bite had just stopped, but before that, they had caught some really nice trout. Tried to find 233, but someone stole it, no where to be found, decided to stay in the nice water so I headed due west intending to hit some of the other platforms on my rig map, but like 233, someone stole them. Pretty choppy water today so we did quite aa bit of bouncing. Sorry couldn't report better success, but at least I told y'all where they ain't :-)

calcutta37 08-03-2011 05:13 PM

233 has been cut that red bouy is close to it. What kind of seas did you have today?

cajun bill 08-03-2011 07:11 PM

a healthy 2 at least mixed with some 3's.
