Need advice

I would love some input on what the best size and model of powerpole would be for a 17ft bass tracker :help:

8ft... you spending the money might as well get the extra 2ft

i know my boat is normally in shallower water than 8ft, but when fishing points is when you would need something a little deeper. And some lakes around here if your fishing off the bank your gonna want that extra 2ft, because your gonna be in 6ft plus of water.

Chicot for example most of the flats are from 4-8ft. Sherburne off the banks might even be deeper than 8ft if your far off the banks. Millers lake all you'd need is a 2ft lol My honey hole lake the water is from 6-8ft too

If you have too much pole, you just don't have to put it all the way down,,, now if your pole won't reach the bottom then it won't really matter how much pole you have. Get the 8ft and GET THE REMOTE!!!

Sidenote... "Millers lake all you'd need is a 2ft" FYI Mr. **** passed away Monday

That sucks man...:(

Do you know who's gonna run the show now? I bet this is why I've been hearing some talk about how Millers and Cazans will be like a club or something. Have you heard anything like that? Fisherman/hunters will have to pay a yearly fee to hunt/fish it.

O on a side note yellowmouth.. i wouldn't get a talon. What if your going under a bridge, while fishing, and it doesn't have much clearance? The powerpole you can just lower into the water a little, but with the talon, I think the pole extends out the bottom leaving the upper section still positioned the same. At Indian Creek, I know this would be a problem, I have to remove my seat pedistals to get under bridges

Yes it sucks, he and I hunted and fished together for a long time. I'll miss him... Millers has always been a club for hunting and if youre in the club you don't have to pay to fish. I don't expect that to change and I'm sure there will be a new care taker within a few weeks/month. Cazans is run pretty much the same way.

Stay away from the talon, stick with the power pole
