Im a broken record.......

Whaddya know. Just got a call to open a CANNON gun safe. Its 2 weeks old. Digital lock is fried.

I can not and will not ever recomend a cannon product.......BUT.........If your budget only alows you to get a cannon to protect your kids and guns, that's fine, but make sure it has a good mechanical lock!!! The electronic locks they use are crap! Its not a matter of if the electronic will fail, its When. And you don't want it to happen at 2am when you hear a window break in the next room...........

The only safe my dad ever had to protect us from his guns was a black leather strap that he would lay across our butt.

Is it still under warranty? I do their service work. I usually have 3 or 4 I have to open every year. If it has a digital lock, change it to a mechanical as soon as the warranty is up. I'd do it sooner, only because I don't want a hole in my safe.......they use the same lock as the red head(bass pro brand).

Let me clarify. Not every liberty, cannon, red head, etc. will break tomorrow. I'm only trying to say that you get what you pay for. They all offer fire protection. Honestly, you can get a cheap safe with the fire protection you want and upgrade to a good lock.

That's cheaper than going buy a Browning or winchester

its digital.. ill get back with u when i have more details

the door is open and locked. so you cant close it. very aggravating.

Just curious, how does a safe protect your kids?
