Big Lake 8-8-09
 

Went back to the rigs south of Big Lake Saturday morning. Caught 36 nice specks till we ran out of live shrimp. Went onto the lake and caught 7 more for 43, 2 short of limit. Thought we had limit but when we got back to camp counted and realized i miss counted on the water, but oh well. Went back to the rigs that afternoon and only caught 7. came back onto lake that afternoon and picked up another 4 or 5 on topwater. All in all, not a bad weekend.

Nice fish....I love that offshore trout fishing....

I wouldn't gripe about a catch like that.

I am definitely not griping. Its just one of my buddies with me was so excited about saturday morning's catch that he convinced me into going back to the rigs that afternoon. It wasnt a good idea. we caught 7 trout and then the sharks and mackerel showed up. then we were so tired from going to rigs twice in one day that everyone decided they didnt want to go back sunday. so we just went home sunday morning. but when i left my uncle's camp i accidently and unknowingly ran over waterline. so i was on my way back to lafayette, almost in jennings, and he called me and told me i had to turn around and come back to fix water line. left hackberry for lafayette at 10:00am and ended up not getting home until 4:30pm! FML!
