BL 6/24

Sucked.......

Started out from Spicers about 0600 with live shrimp and artis. Tide coming in hard. Went through Texaco and headed south looking for birds. Water at Texaco was ok. Stopped in the Long Point area and water was off colored pretty bad. Went to the south end of the lake. There were some decent water and bad water mixed together. Ran to WC. Muddy. Headed north. Cleaner water further north.

Only kept 2 trout and 1 flounder all on shrimp.

Water was off every except north. Further north was better water. I did not go to the East side of BL or the far West side of WC.

Better than sitting at home. Did you try fishing the dirty water? Don't let that scare you I have caught several times in dirty water.

We fished the dirty water. Every guide that I know was fishing north. I don't know all of them though. Saw several heading to LNG about 1100

When in LNG canal.....stay to the south side once you get down toward the LNG plant.

There is a 500 foot security zone...... don't get caught in too close.

If you have a small boat and it is windy. You can launch at CP, buy some live shrimp and fish them under a cork on both banks right after the launch. No need to go all the way to the back. You may not catch a limit of trout but you will definitely catch something. It is a day saver when you get to the launch and the USA flag looks like it took a double dose of viagra.
