Calc. River 5-14-11
 

Made a quick trip to the river Saturday morning. Brought in 6 bass, 3 of them would have kept...Caught 4 on a white buzzbait early, and the other 2 were caught on red shad worm. They were very active early and I was running about 30 minutes later than planned...

Nothing like the topwater bite. maybe try slowing it down next time with a chug bug... buzzbaits outta the strike zone faster. what area did you fish???

Launched at White Oak, started onthe main river near Dans Bay, and finished up in Goss Bay.

How does the water look over there? I got a spot that produces when clear... just dont like to make that haul unless i know its gonna be clear.

Looks like the river lol not too muddy though. West fork is clear.
