:help:Our street doesn't have a local cable provider so I went with Direct TV about 2 years ago. My contract ends next month so I can tell them to get ****ed if I want. Also, my bill seems to be going up about every 2 months. Service and reception is damn good. Didn't know if anyone prefered one over the other or had any history with them....I have also included a pic for those of you that may need a minute to think about this....Thanks:smokin:

I was about to switch a while back and the wife called them and told them we was going to drop them and go with dish but they gave us 100 credit towards whatever ,20 dollars off our bill each month for a year and free hd for a year and some movie channels so I guess I'll stick with them for another year .. Didn't gave to resign contract either

I can vouch for netflix, and a similar app available is hulu plus. Features most of the current shows on big stations, they cover some of what netflix does not. It's alright, but I prefer netflix. I am on a trial for hulu that is free. If you use your student ID, its a free month..CC required but you can cancel after that month. There are ads in the trial but idk if there are ads normal version.

I highly recommend netflix. I have it on my xbox for 7 or 8 a month and just pay for internet to my apt. can't beat it. No commercials..10 get's the DVD's.....lot bigger selection on those..

I ditched cable a while back, and miss it rarely. I'm on the computer most of the time anyways plus with a PS3/netflix hooked up to the tv it's fine.

Was paying 120 a month for digital cox = rip off

Now if I could just figure out a way to cancel the internet/cell bills too

Over-rated!
Who has time for tv, when you've got pics like that????

i love my dish network. i just don't catch fox cause im considered in the lake charles area. and i guess they can't work out a deal with them. that is my only dissappointment if i could get that i would love it. all locals and free hd for life free dvr upgrade (don't know how i ever did with out a dvr)

I currently have Dish & recommend them. I've had all 3. Cox is the worst of the bunch.

Do the Dish installation people look like that? :)

Big Flounder 05-12-2011 09:43 AM

I made the switch from direct to dish a few months back and I have had no problems. It's about half the price we were paying too.
