Louisiana Hunting Magazine

Anyone recommend a Louisiana-oriented sportsman magazine? Looking primarily for a hunting/shooting. I see there is one actually called "Louisiana Sportsman."

Good luck finding one, but Louisiana Sportsman is as good as it gets even though a few on this site may have some different view with members of that magazine and website:grinpimp:. Do NOT get the Louisiana Game and Fish though, its the same recycled fishing tips used all over the southeast in the Game and Fish mags, they just insert Louisiana in there.

Cajun Outdoors is also a good magazine. There's not much to it but it's a very good read.

Yep........Cajun Outdoors will be the Next big LA magazine

But for now, Louisiana Sportsman is your best bet, you can 'read' Cajun Outdoors in one toilet sitting, La Sportsman takes about 3, and they have fishing reports for potlickers

Its the best we have right now is all I said. Cajun outdoors may be big one day, but right now there are about 4 pages of non ads

Louisiana SPortsman is your best bet right now, then Cajun Outdoors comes next. LAS is the top notch magazine right now, and yes they have advertising, but they have more reports then any other magazine in our area

LAS puts out a great mag. Then Cajun outdoors would be next. Cajun outdoors has more ads than actual reading material tho

huntin fool 04-28-2011 10:49 AM

heck I wrote for Cajun Outdoors, but LAS is still the premier magazine right now

LA Sportsman is a good magazine. Like every outdoors magazine they recycle some articles. They also have some interesting articles. For instance, there was a 4 part series on the history of the Mississippi river and its forming of Louisiana, and the dangers we face from messing with the river. It was a great article.

I would love to see Cajun outdoors compete with LA Sportsman. It just takes time and advertising dollars, eventually it will get there.

W should be able to get u a deal on Louisiana sportsman mags. His best buddy is the president there
