bayou tortue 4-23

put my 6 yr old girl in the boat with me sat afternoon and headed up bayou tortue with a bucket of crickets. we caught a bunch of tiny bream and goggle eye(none of any good size), but no bass or sacalait. water was muddy, and the current was going the wrong way for sacalait. water temp was 74 degs, so my best guess is the bass are still bedding up in lake charlo, or further up the bayou where it's not a good idea to take anything larger than a kayak. i still had fun teaching her how to fish and driving around in the boat with her though.
