Boat blessings-----

Can't believe nobody's talked about this so far. Must not be big where everybody else is, but down in houma, dulac, chauvin, cocodrie, pointe-aux-chenes, -----we have boat blessings every year, it's mainly for the shrimpers, but everybody can come out and have your boat blessed. It's a good time, after the boat blessing, everyone usually heads to lake boudreaux and parties it up...anybody going?

I spilled a beer in mine before. Does that count?

We do it in Delcambre every year also, the Sunday of the Shrimp Festival they have a mass then the Blessing of the Fleet.
