Toledo 3-12 *86 3-13
I figured I'd post the truth and let you guys know how tuff the Bend was this weekend. Only managed "6" fish from dusk til dawn Saturday with the biggest around 2lbs. :shaking: and one of the six a crappie. Sorry no pics because i didn't keep a single fish and those fish weren't worth a single mega pixel!
From the folks i spoke with on and off the lake ...fishing was tough the whole week and didn't get any better that weekend. I had planned on fishing sunday but after getting stroked on Saturday ....I threw in the towel! Next 2 weeks will be focused on Trout. GL |
Thanks for sharing bud.
Sucks yall didn't do well, I also heard lots of bad reports from over there this weekend. I should be heading up there in a couple of weeks after working 21 days straight. Need a break! |
Very windy, hard to fish. We managed around 50 sac-a-lait for the weekend. Had good action on our trot lines. No ops, all blues. Got 8 gallons of filets. Had 5 or 6 between 20 and 30 lbs.

We were fishing in about 15 foot of water. Baited the lines with perch dat we caught in our perch traps. If not perch, try to find some of those big river shiners. |

Two of my budies fished last saturday. They had 15 bass between four people in two boats. They said it was tough with bad wind. Glad I had to work all weekend. Took my wife yesterday to Toledo. We launched out of Pirates Cove and fished Six Mile. Started around 8:30 and fished till 5. Had 13 keeper bass and caught a total of 35-40. Should pick this weekend after this front. |
yep, all the reports at the tackle shop are the same... the fish were in a funky mood this weekend, that warming trend should get them eating good again soon. i've been getting several reports that the white perch bite is still good in six mile near the grass in big sandy creek. black/chart and blue/white road runners or shiners.
