1st Trip of Year
 

Well made my first fishing trip of the New Year, finally! My 8year old and I head out to Lake Fausse Pt, fished the Dogleg without a single bite. Took off and head toward the bar pits near state park. Fished there and we managed three very large bream, and 4- sacalait. Not very productive catching but was a great day spent with my youngest. I believe he learned today some patience and that the fish don't always JUMP IN THE BOAT..... LOL. We also caught several non keeper bass. My oldest didn't come on this trip, as he is well going through his TEENS.... ARRRGGGG, wanted to sleep!!!!!! Gonna go back after them when this weather straightens back out it warms again.

Sounds like a blast man... Cant wait until my 20 month old can come with me. We will cross that path when we get to it.

Same here except mine's not even 2 months yet! lol
