Hopedale Hustler 07-16-2009 07:57 PM

ya waters purtty good...id just start at the marina..bretton sound marina..and directly across the bayou from the marina there is a canal..called the spoil canal..paddle down there and hit some small bays and duck ponds back in there..let me know if u want me to PM you a map and mark a couple spots back up in there so u know wat i mean.

Rain don't hurt down there.

Bayou Pisana had beau coup reds not to far off the dyke canal not far from BSM. We were catching 3 1/2' shark at the entrance of bayou robin -(lake Robin)that was ok-ran off a bunch of undersized trout....

If'n you don't finish college, then you might hafta work offshore like some of us.

Hopedale Hustler 07-17-2009 06:55 PM

well i have worked off shore for 6 moths..i been welding/pipefitting since i finished high school...i have my NCCER in welding and pipefitting..just that my mom wants me to go to real school..thats wat she calls it...she dont know ima go and still weld after..

yak'em-n-stack'em 07-17-2009 07:04 PM

well, it wasnt a total failure, but it wasnt great

pulled up to BSM at 615 launched went down spoil canal, and then first right and into the marsh, picked up a few reds and a flounder, One of the reds was about 6 pounds.

Saw a guy in a pirougue catching dozens of "W" sized trout lol

we dodged some thunderstorms but had to be off the water by 930 because i had a flight to catch in baton rouge.

Over all we had a good time and i will be going back in a few weeks

Howd you do Austin?

Hopedale Hustler 07-17-2009 07:28 PM

yall picked up a few back in there huh...thats mah secret bowfishing spot..haha..ery body else goes a few miles from the marina..hell i go right across from it.
