Drake Waterfowl

You guys think the stuff is worth the price?
Ever see it on sale?

The MST waders are bad a$$ but at almost 300 bones.....whew!

i am a big drake supporter but i purchased the LST waders last year while i was living in utah...they lasted about 5 hunts before COMPLETELY falling apart!

simplepeddler 11-29-2010 11:15 PM

That answers that!
thanks..........that is what the "ratings" at cabela's say as well.

IDK about the waders but the clothes are off the hook thats all I'll buy from now on. been using them for several years and totally satisfied. have gotten several friends on board as well and they feel the same way, well worth the money.

Yea I have lots of clothes and rain gear that I love... but the waders are junk!

I just bought some Game Winner waders from Academy. Look almost identical as the Drake for $130.

joshdomingue 11-30-2010 07:28 AM

I have drake everything.....but my waders are from cabela's......i've my jackets for several years and they still look like the day i bought em....

i have a drake blind bag that I paid like 80 bones for that is JUNK, after the first season the piece of junk neoprene strap tore in half(replaced it with rope...lol tryin to get one more season out of it) and the plastic snaps that hold the cover over the main storage area broke. Needless to say that is the last Drake bag I buy.

SULPHITE 11-30-2010 10:11 AM

I have a drake est jacket that I like, not as waterproof as my old goretex jacket but still a nice jacket.

I think their quality may take a hit with more production...when academy started carrying them you've got to think they are out for quantity not quality...now their clothes and hats are sweet though!

simplepeddler 11-30-2010 10:35 AM

I have some of thier layer clothes and they are first class...........
really bad reviews on the neopreme stuff though.

What are the best waders??

u cant go wrong with cabelas. around 100$ and u will get at least 4-5 years out of them (with a little added aqua seal from time to time)

simplepeddler 11-30-2010 10:48 AM

that is what I have now and you are right Armand...........

Just like some the new features coming out on the others............but hell if they leak..........features= no benefit.

I almost bought a est full zip jacket at Lafayette shooters today for $110. I decided to try out this one instead after reading of a few leakage issues. (it was only $20 more)
