Looks like I'll be switching back to Directv

this Wednesday. Have been having Dish for the last year and really don't have any complaints other than not having an NBC channel. Got to the end of my discounts though and Directv is offering to pay my contract cancellation fee with Dish....they've been sending me an offer WEEKLY in my mailbox. Directv now has the "whole house DVR" like I've had with Dish for the last year which is nice. Most everything else is fairly similar...biggest issue I suppose with Directv is that they're not broadcasting local channels in HD here in New Iberia/Lafayette area.:pissed: Guess I can suffer with that for $300 in annual savings this year! Hopefully they will offer HD local for our area soon. According to their website they are going to offer local HD in Lake Charles sometime in 2011. Not sure why they would not be offering a larger metro area like Lafayette first.

the costs of cox or LUS fiber are sky high here, hard to justify it.

wish Dtv didn't have that contract.
