New to the area and inshore fishing

I just wanted to take a minute and give a quick introduction, My name is Jason and I am addicted to fishing! I found this site while looking for information on inshore fishing. Recently moved to the Abbeville area and Ive only been out once since getting here. Im sure there are plenty of tips on here and i look forward to reading them. If you have a favorite set up or body of water I would like to hear about it. NO I am not asking for your spots I am a bass/crappie fisherman from KY/TN area, looking to fast track the learning process on the many miles of waters you guys/gals have access to down here.

Welcome to Louisiana and the Salty Cajun. Our members are always willing to 'bend over backwards' to help others whether it be a prayer request, charitable cause or just general information. S C is definately on my favorite list...

Welcome aboard and, I'll warn you, saltwater is addictive!

I'm a native to freshwater and couldn't care less about fishing it these days! Trout and reds will have ya hooked from the firsttime you set the hook!

Lacassine Pool has some damn good fresh water fishing its not to to far but id say go the extra 30 miles and hit big lake or prien lake, like southern said you will get hooked!

Thanks for the responses i have now marked some spots on the map. Im going to try out of intracoastal tommorrow if the wind lays down some. Im fishing out a 19ft bass boat so dont want to get caught out in the confused waves you folk have down here.
When it comes to helping out whether prayer request, fundraisers charities or just helping someone out with their rig if I am availiable you can count on me. I look forward to fishing and maybe make a friend or two along the way.
