Simple fix.

Mix some red pepper with cooking oil and place it on the legs of you feeder.

When those little *****s go to climb the pole and spin the feeder they get it on there paws. And the first thing they do is rub it on there face and try to lick it off. Man you should here them scream. I would rather see them do that than see a deer. It makes the hunt well worth it.

A bear will tear your feeder to pieces.

That would be a sight!

I've done it with cats using the bathroom in the bushes and for squirrels in the garden. The squirrels are hilarious when they go to rootin around in cayenne pepper!:*****:

People I know that hunt areas with bears tell me they use soybeans in their feeders. Say only the deer eat it.

im going tom to buy this and try it out

supercajun 09-22-2010 06:02 PM

dont worry about him. you wont get closer than 50 yards from him and he will be gone. we have plenty of bears where we hunt see them on cameras all the time and have only seen 1 in 5 years.

adamsfence 09-22-2010 06:06 PM

im not worried about him i figure he is more scared of me than i am of him.....only time you hear of a bear attack is when some one is being stupid or up north when they come in people's homes

looking for some honey-

Duck Butter 09-23-2010 08:46 AM

they WILL eat soybeans AND rice bran, the only way to get them outta there is to not feed, sad but true, and they WILL destroy a feeder like mentioned. They are cool animals, consider yourself lucky to have them:*****:

MallardchaseR08 09-23-2010 06:14 PM

Some bears knocked down both of my feeders and camped out until they were empty. I've given up on trying to keep the feeders up. Just planted some small areas of wheat and oats. Talk about give you a rush when you see them while bow hunting though. Those bears are sneaky sneaky.
