McNeese Fishing Team
 

A few guys and myself are trying to get the ball rolling on a collegiate FLW fishing team at McNeese. FLW recognizes college student that are involved with school and have a passion for bass fishing. They will sponsor a boat and travel expenses as well as any other major expenses. We are just trying to get paperwork setup and recruit McNeese students who are SERIOUS about joining the club right now. The first meeting will be held during the fall semester to discuss details. This club has the potential to span into something very productive for average college students.Browse www.collegefishing.com for a better detail of FLW rules and regulations. I think this is an excellent opportunity to show other colleges that the southern boys can hang with the best of them and also get involved with a recognizable tournament leader and sponsor.

Hail Yeah! Seeing as we have a huge percentage of McNeese boys and girls who really know how to fish I think it's a great Idea. We gotta show them yankees how to wet a line!

Count me in Tory. You already know I was born and raised in the ponds and lakes of North Texas! Some of my friends on the Track team were also talking about this. If there is a petition or anything to sign, I'd put my name down ASAP. You've got my number, lemme know how this pans out and if there is anything I can do to help.

I know this is an old thread, but did anything ever happen with this? I go to McNeese and am serious about fishing. They have anything like this for saltwater?

Good Luck with it Tory,

I was wondering when someone was going to step up and get a team together for McNeese. I have been seeing lots of other colleges taking interest in it and doing well with it. Glad to see you got the ball rolling for McNeese. Will be a great program for present and future McNeese students. Give the young kids something to look forward to these days.
